The women in WWE have come a long way. The days of women wrestling in bra and panty matches are long gone. Today, the push has been to get across that women are athletes that should be treated as equals to the men. It seems like every few months, a new milestone is reached. At last year’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, women competed inside of the cell structure for the first time. Tonight at the HIAC pay-per-view, another milestone will be reached.

During an interview with MLive.com, Natalya noted that tonight’s Smackdown Championship match will break another record.

She said:

“It’s a huge match. Charlotte and I have a storied history. This Sunday, we’re going to be making history by being the first women in WWE to be competing for four different championships. No other women in the company have ever done this.”

“We’ve competed for the NXT Women’s Championship, the Diva’s Championship, the RAW Women’s Championship and now the Smackdown Live Women’s Championship.”

“At ‘Hell in a Cell,’ I will actually beat Trish Stratus’ record for having the most pay-per-view matches of any women in WWE history.”

No doubt that the women will be looking to steal the show tonight. Also, if Carmella decides to cash in tonight then it could be the first time that a woman has cashed in a Money In The Bank briefcase.

We will have coverage of the pay-per-view here on WrestlingNews.co. The show will be headlined by Kevin Owens taking on Shane McMahon inside the cell and Shinsuke Nakamura challenging Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship.
