Lee Chong Wei Finally Dethrone Lin Dan!

This is not the final, but it is the most anticipated and epic match for badminton man single. The long time rival & friend, Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan clashed in a nerve wrecking match and this time, Lee Chong Wei finally won and advance to the final!

Lin Dan certainly played very well in this match, however, it is clear that Lee Chong Wei is in his best form today with flawless smashes, deft touch, and awareness.

In the first round Lin managed to force a lot backhand onto Lee, while counter with his signature, powerful and accurate smash, winning the first round 21 – 15.

Lee turned the table on second round however and with his outstanding maneuver, driving Lin scrambling all over the court. Lee manage to take the full advantage of a tired, outpaced Lin Dan, smashing his way to winning the second game 21 – 11.

Rival, friend, & competitor, Lee & Lin both performed outstandingly in this match.

The final, deciding round could be deemed a classic. Incredible skill from both parties, the back-and-forth between Lee & Lin left audience breathless. Lee seems to have the opportunity to seal his victory during 20 – 17, but Lin Dan dauntlessly scored 4 point straight, bringing the game to a tie at 20 – 20. At last, Lee managed to emerge as the victor when  he pulled out a 22 – 20, sealing his seat for the final in Olympic Badminton.
