Don’t expect the reunion of The Shield to last long.
According to CageSide Seats, The Shield reunion isn’t expected to last beyond the end of the year. As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Indianapolis, IN at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse on the USA Network, The Shield reunited on the opening segment of the show.
Roman Reigns came out during the MizTV segment and said that his demise was greatly exaggerated and that he was giving them one warning to leave the ring. When Miz dared him to pander to the rumors about the Shield’s reunion, Reigns said “What rumors” as Dean AMbrose and Seth Rollins came out.
This led to the Shield attacking, Miz, Cesaro, and Sheamus. WWE has added Braun Strowman to the main event of the upcoming TLC PPV. The main event will now see The Shield take on The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, and Strowman in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match (TLC).
When the group first made their way onto WWE television, they were an instant hit with the fans. From the way that they looked at how they worked in the ring to their promos.
They got over big time with the fans, which is something that a group had not done in years. Stables will be created from time to time but not have the success that acts like The Four Horsemen, DX, NWO and other classic groups had.
The Shield, who featured Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns, was a different kind of stable that was created with NXT Superstars. The group teamed together until June 2014, after which Reigns entered singles competition. Ever since the group split up, fans have turned on Reigns despite him being portrayed as a babyface.
The TLC pay-per-view event takes place on October 22nd at the Target Center in Minnesota, Minneapolis and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. This will be an exclusive RAW brand event. Here is the updated card:
