Our very own Paralympics long jumper Abdul Latif Romly broke multiple world records during Sunday’s final!
Latif who competed in men’s long jump T20 (intellectual disability), broke previous world record of 7.35 m with a new mark at 7.60 m.
This made this Paralympics the best in Malaysia’s history, who previously won silver and bronze, but never Gold.
On Saturday as well Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi won the first Gold medal for Malaysia in the 100 metre T36 (cerebral palsy) event.
Muhammad Ziyad who won second Gold for Malaysia
To our surprise and amazement later that day is Muhammad Zuyad Zolkefli, who won men’s shot put F20 (intellectual disability) final, breaking world record as well.
