Pep Guardiola has decided to leave Yaya Toure out of his squad for Champions League group stages.

Toure, the 33 years old midfielder, who previously said that he intends to stay and fight for his place in Manchester City, has his resolution unanswered as he yet to been featured in any of Manchester City’s three Premier League Games.

Joe Hart’s loan move to Torino meant City were unable to fill the eight homegrown spots required by UEFA as part of their 25-man squad, and as a result they have named only 21 players with Toure missing out.

Pep Guardiola insists Yaya Toure was not included in Manchester City’s Champions League squad because he is better off training at the Etihad Campus.
