The Toffees are unwilling to pay the £7 million loan fee that the Etihad Stadium outfit have asked for, leaving the England international facing a season without first-team action

Everton have pulled out of the race to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, according to the Daily Mail.

The England international has been told he can leave the Etihad Stadium after being dropped to the bench by Pep Guardiola and with Claudio Bravo set to arrive from Barcelona this week.

But Everton are not willing to spend the £7 million loan fee that City requested while the form of Maarten Stekelenburg has made the need for a new goalkeeper less pressing for Ronald Koeman.
