Austria vs Hungary Euro 2016 preview: Line ups, kick off time, TV channel, betting odds, team news and head to head

For the history buffs out there, Austria against Hungary on Tuesday evening can be characterised as the Habsburg derby. It also contains two of the lesser known teams in the competition, but one that, in the case of Austria, could spring a few surprises.

David Alaba, Kevin Wimmer and Christian Fuchs are some of the names that provide them with an ultra-solid defence, with Stoke City’s Marko Arnautovic offering a threat in the final third.

Ahead of Tuesday’s game, Sportsmail provides you with an all you need to know guide for the clash.

Otherwise known as the Stade Matmut Atlantique, it is the home of Girondins Bordeaux, replacing their old stadium the Stade Chaban-Delmas. While it was scheduled to be completed in late 2014, it took until May 2015 for the stadium to be opened.

The first game held at the stadium saw Bordeaux beat Montpellier 2-1. France also played an international game at the 42,115-seater stadium in the same year as they beat Serbia.

Head-to-head

It is not just in terms of the Habsburg Empire that these two sides have history – Austria beat Hungary 5-0 in their first ever official international in 1902.

The two sides have also faced off on a staggering 137 occasions in their history, with Hungary winning the majority – 66.

Their most recent game took place in August 2006, with Hungary winning the friendly between the two sides 2-1.

Austria and David Alaba will be looking to overturn a head-to-head record that falls firmly in Hungary's favour
