Antoine Griezmann looked to have recovered from the heartbreak of Atletico Madrid’s gruelling Champions League final defeat as he trained with the France squad on Wednesday.

The rapid forward joined up with Didier Deschamps’ star-studded squad at their training camp in the picturesque Austrian town of Neustift im Stubaital.

Greizmann missed Monday’s dramatic 3-2 friendly victory over Cameroon but will be expected to feature in France’s final warm-up game against Scotland on Saturday, as they prepare to play the role as host nation and favourites at Euro 2016

Griezmann looked relaxed as he joked around with pal Paul Pogba, and the Juventus midfielder is relishing playing in front of his countrymen and women when the Tournament kicks off next week.

‘It’s a pressure, but at the same time, it is pure joy to be able to play in front of your own people. That’s our strength this time,’ he told The Times of India.

‘It would be great to entertain them with our performances. We have a very good chance of winning the tournament.

‘We have a good side, experienced but young and hungry.’

Pogba also highlighted the importance of head coach Didier Deschamps in the French dressing room.

The 47-year-old, who was captain of the World Cup-winning France side of 1998, knows what it takes to succeed on the biggest stage and Pogba says that experience has rubbed off on his current squad.

‘What he always says is to focus on the game and specific situations. He never wants us to worry about factors off the field,’ Pogba said.

‘He has been through these situations and would share his experiences with us, as he always does. When you have such a legend in the dressing room, you feel very comfortable.’
